 IPPI: DC Shopian reviews arrangements

SHOPIAN, JANUARY 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC)Shopian, Chaudary Mohammad Yaseen today convened a meeting to review the arrangements for the intensified pulse polio immunization (IPPI) programme to be conducted on January 19, in the District.

The meeting was informed that during the first phase 43757 children from 0 to 5 years of age will be administrated polio drops.

It was given out that 235 vaccination booths have been establish in three medical blocks of the district with adequate deployment of officials from different departments besides, the services of 344 health workers along with  supervisory teams, Anganwadi workers and Asha workers have also been sought for proper execution and monitoring of the immunization process.

While speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner said that it is collective responsibility of all stake holders to achieve the fixed targets to keep the district polio free.

 The Deputy Commissioner instructed for ensuring strict adherence to cold chain protocol to make sure that the programme is the safest and most successful.
