SRINAGAR, June 15: Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, today said that there is no proposal under consideration of the Government to increase the limit from fifty thousand to three lakh rupees for works falling in the Local body purview and from three lakh to five lakh rupees in case of Panchayati Institutions.
While replying on behalf of Minister in-charge Housing & Urban Development to a question of Yasir Reshi, Akhtar said the Department through Urban Local Bodies is taking the small natured construction works mostly below Rs 1 lakh at Municipal Councils/Committees, which does not come under e-tendering.
He said developmental works beyond Rs 1 lakh come under e-tendering category and all the works approved in the Annual Action Plan under Integrated Development of Major Towns (IDMT) were put to e-tendering and allotted to successful bidders.
