Jammu, Dec 26: Parvaiz Iqbal, Sub Judge, Special Railway Magistrate Jammu rejected the closure report of police in a case of cheating, impersonation and offence under Prevention of Unfair Means in Examination Act against Superintendent of Jail Rajni Seghal and Vinod Kumar.
The court held that IO has shown scant regards for vital evidence concerning the core issues under investigation adding that IO in order to give reprieve to the person’s involved has manipulated the outcome probably with the hope that his maneuvering of facts and distortion of the outcome will escape the scrutiny of law.
The Court disagreed with report and directed SSP Jammu to constitute Special Investigation Team headed by officer not below the rank of SP to conduct further in view of the involvement of high ranking police officers, which shall complete investigation within three months time.
