PDD disconnects 145 connections, recovers Rs 48 lakh from violators


Jammu, Nov 20: Power Development Department today conducted disconnection drive in areas falling under Electric Sub Divisions I and II during which 145 electric connections were disconnected and a sum of Rs 47.711 lakh was recovered on spot from the violators.

A team of officials of Electric Sub Division-I , Distribution, Gandhi Nagar, headed by AEE Sardari Lal along with AE Narotam Sharma and concerned feeder managers under the direct supervision of Executive Engineer PD Singh conducted a mass disconnection drive of the electric connections of the consumers, who has not paid arrear amount till date.

The team disconnected 79 commercial/domestic connections during the drive and also recovered an amount of Rs 36.841 from the consumers on the spot. 

The enforcement team of Electric Sub Division-II, JPDCL, Shastri Nagar, headed by Assistant Executive Engineer  Jagdeep Singh Sasan and comprising of Assistant Engineers, feeder managers and field staff conducted a disconnection drive today.

During the drive, the power supply of 66 defaulters was disconnected and a total of Rs 10.87 lakh revenue was collected on the spot.
