SRINAGAR, June 07: A meeting of the House Committee constituted to examine the provisions of SRO 105 was held under the Chairmanship of MLA Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone here today.
The meeting was attended by Hakim Mohammad Yasin, M. Y. Tarigami, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Choudhary Sukhnadan Kumar, Syed Altaf Ahmad Bukhari, Javid Ahmad Rana, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Javaid Hassan Beig and Bashir Ahmad Dar.
Threadbare discussion was held on revocation of SRO 105 and the Committee decided that it will convene its next meeting on June 10, 2016 (Friday) at 3.00 PM.
The Chairman directed the officers of Assembly Secretariat to call Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce and Director Geology and Mining in the first instance, so that they can brief the members of the House Committee.
It was also decided that the Committee will also meet with the Stakeholders on of the State on June 13 (Monday) at 3.00 PM and take suggestions from them.
The Chairman also asked the Assembly Secretariat to circulate copies of SRO 105, SRO 103, Supreme Court directions, departmental factual report and the Act among the members of the House Committee for their scrutiny.
Senior officers of Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.
