SRINAGAR, JUNE 1: Maj. Gen. J.S. Sandhu, Officiating DG NCC, accompanied by Maj. Gen. S.S Jakhar, ADG, NCC Directorate J&K, called on Governor N.N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan , here today.
DG NCC briefed the Governor about future expansion of the NCC in J&K and the urgent need for the State Government according the required clearances for the new NCC Group being established.
Observing that the NCC is an excellent organization which inculcates discipline and the spirit of camaraderie and resilience, the Governor stressed the need for the maximum possible number of boys and girls from J&K getting enrolled in the NCC. He assured the DG that the pending issues would be early discussed and get settled by the State Higher Education Department and, meanwhile, the NCC must remain ready to enlarge their network in J&K.
