DODA, OCTOBER 05: District Level, Science Exhibition organised under Samagra Shiksha was today organized by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Doda in collaboration of Education Department.
Around 264 Science models were displayed by elementary, secondary & Hr. Secondary level students of different Government and Private Educational Institutions of the District on the themes viz. Water Harvesting, Flood alarm system, Disaster management, Solar power plant, bio pesticides, lift irrigation ,global warming , soil conservation, waste management etc. The function witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, teachers, parents and head of institutions.
Mementos and certificates were presented to the students whose models were adjudged as best.
Earlier, the exhibition was inaugurated by DDC Dr. Sagar D. Doifode as the chief guest in presence of guest of honour SSP Mumtaz Ahmed.
After inspecting the exhibits/ models displayed by the students, the guests held a brain storming interaction with the students.
The DDC congratulated DIET for organising the event which will enable the students to develop scientific acumen in actual manner. He said that district administration in collaboration with DIET Doda successfully completed the first phase of Zimedari project under which all the schools across the district have been graded. He said the administration is committed to provide quality education to the students.
Principal DIET Doda Ch. Lal Hussain congratulated the winners and welcomed the huge participation which made the exhibition a success.
