Samba, October 5: District Administration Samba has intensified market checking to keep vigil on overcharging, quality of edibles and other unfair trade practice in view of upcoming festival season.
Food Safety officers checked the market establishments and imposed penalties on the traders for violation of Food Safety and other rules.
Ten samples of Dharau Atta, Milk commodities, essential commodities were lifted, while a fine of Rs 87,100 was charged from the traders for violation of Weight & Measurement Act 2011 and Food Safety Act and other rules.
