UDHAMPUR, MAY 24: Dictrict Administration Udhampur sealed a government building used allegedly by drug mafia with suspected connivance of some officials in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per reports , The building, located at Dandyal near the office of the Chief Education officer, was sealed by the District Administration, Udhampur after inspection showed that it was being used for illicit purposes by drug mafia with suspected connivance of some officials.
The building is located on the outskirts of the town was constructed by Sports Authority of India and later being used by the Sports Department, he said.
A team of officers comprising of Sapna Kotwal, Tehsildar Udhampur and O P Chib, SHO Udhampur, inspected the building and found intoxicating substances, liquor bottles, capsules, used liquor pouches and other items following which the building was sealed.
DC Udhampur Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has ordered an enquiry into the matter and fix responsibility for the officers involved in misuse of building.
