Kargil, August 7: A complete shutdown was observed across Kargil district today to protest the scrapping of Article 370 and bifurcating J&K.
Kargil town wore a deserted look with businesses, schools and offices shut and public transport off roads, subjecting the locals to hardships.
Qamar Ali Akhoon, former minister. Senior Congress leader Asgar Ali Karbalaie said that the Centre has taken the decision unilaterally without consulting stakeholders in the region & they had been deprived of the right to vote and elect government.
