JAMMU, MAY 19- To improve the traffic management system in district Samba and Kathua, Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma today convened a meeting with the members of transport unions.
The meeting discussed ways and means to improve traffic scenario in the twin districts and avoid fatal road accidents. SP Traffic Rural Jammu urged the presidents/members of the transport unions to avoid rash driving and overloading in their vehicles.
The participants were apprised that the Traffic Police Rural has installed Speed Limit Boards in Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts falling under the jurisdiction of Traffic Rural Jammu for awareness of the drivers.
Members of transport unions that operate interstate or state buses were asked to desist from writing “Superfast Board” on their vehicles.
Dy. S.P Traffic Samba-Kathua, J.S Sumbrian, Sr. Pros. Officer Yogesh Bamba besides Union members were present in the meeting.
