Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee to boycott the current assembly session

SRNAGAR, May 17: Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee  on Tuesday held a meeting under the chairpersonship of Ghulam Rasool Mir to review the progress regarding career progression of non-gazetted/ class-IV employees and pay anomaly. Among others President Lower Grade Employees, Maqbool Hussain was also present in the meeting.

Expressing disheartenment over the poor response, delaying tactics on behalf of the government with regard to career progression of non-gazetted/Class IV employees and pay anomaly, Mir said, they have been taking up the issue regularly with the concerned government authorities, however, no decision has yet been taken to address this long pending issue.

Despite repeated assurances by higher ups in the Government, till date nothing has been done and it appears that Government is not serious in solving the genuine needs of the non-gazetted employees/ Class IV Employees as far as their career progression is concerned.

With regard to pay anomaly, the government has already resolved the pay anomaly of influential employees left same issue of the poor employees unresolved. Now Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee has decided to boycott the current assembly session.
