DIG Vivek Gupta visits Kathua, inaugurates office of DySP DAR

KATHUA: Vivek Gupta DIG Police Jammu, Samba Kathua Range Tuesday visited Kathua and inaugurated the new office of Dy SP DAR at DPL Kathua. He interacted with officers and reviewed security and crime scenario of the district especially in view of ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.

He also addressed valedictory session of workshop during his daylong visit in Kathua. He appreciated the efforts of Kathua team for organising such workshop for police personnel that will enhance and contribute in capacity building.

SSP Kathua  Shridhar Patil assured DIG range that such workshops shall be conducted in future also on different aspects of policing to improve skills of Police officers. Kathua Police under the directions and guidelines of Vivek Gupta organized a one day workshop cum orientation program on intelligence for police personnel of district Kathua. The prime objective of the program was to give adequate exposure of technology being used by criminals to police personnel to meet emerging challenges for better and effective policing.

The workshop was formally inaugurated by SSP Kathua who while delivering inaugural address enjoined upon officers and officials its importance in present scenario of police functioning. Ramnish Gupta Additional SP Kathua, Nikhil Rasgotra Dy SP Headquarters Kathua, K.D. Bhagat DySP, DAR, Kathua, Harish Sharma, ADO DPO, Kathua, DySP (Prob) Priyanka also participated in the workshop. Experts from police and other security agencies delivered lectures with visual aids about various aspects of intelligence gathering including open source Intelligence. Experts on the subject put their best efforts to enrich all the participants to learn the latest trends of intelligence gathering which may help police in maintaining law and order, prevention of crime, security etc.
