Reasi, May 14:In order to reach out to the people of far flung and remote areas, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi-Ravinder Kumar today conducted a whirlwind tour of various areas of Mahore to asses and redresses the problems of people living in these areas.
While interacting with the locals at Mahore, DC said that the administration is committed to provide good governance to the people and a grievance cell has been established mini secretariat Reasi for prompt redressal of the grievances of the aggrieved people, adding that administration would formulate more projects for improving road connectivity, augmenting water supply and health care facilities in these areas.
DC exhorted upon the public to fully cooperate with the development departments in implementation of all development programmes in their respective areas.
Earlier, in a public meeting at Gulabgarh detailed deliberations were held sector wise on the issues related to anganwadi centres, schools, roads, health institutions, livestock health care, ration supply where district officers worked out the timelines for early grievance redressal.
Addressing the gathering, DC said that more such camps will be organised for helping the populace of rural and far off pockets in getting their problems mitigated within shortest possible time. He emphasized the need of strong coordination between the administration and the people for effective implementation of various welfare and development programmes which is pre- requisite for growth and progress of an area
Responding to the demands of the people DC assured the locals that due consideration will be given on their genuine demands and also on spot issued directions to the accompanied officers to redress the problems of the people of the concerned areas.
Later DC also met the family members expressed grief on the death of father, son who were washed away due to cloud burst near Gulabgarh area.
