Girls outshine Boys in Class X results announced for Jammu zone

JAMMU, MAY 12: Girls again surpassed boys in the Secondary School results declared today by the State Board of School Education after surpassing boys in Higher Secondary School result.

A total of 50615 students had enrolled themselves for the exams including 27,446 boys and 23,169 girls. The overall pass percentage stood at 61.95.

Overall pass percentage for the girls was 62.99, whereas for the boys, it was 61.08.

As per reports, Out of 20 positions shared by 536 students, only six positions went to the Government schools while rest were secured by private institutions.

The first position with 98.80 per cent marks was shared by Shweta Rana of Caramel Convent High School Kunjwani, Tanmay Mahajan of St Mary’s Convent Challan Ramkot, Rupambir Singh of Christ High School Poonch and Ankush Singh of Vijay Higher Secondary School, Udhampur.

Rasmeet Kour of St Peter’s Hr Sec School Karan Bagh, Garima Badhan of Caramel Convent High School Kunjwani, Vidushi Gupta of Caramel Convent High School Kunjwani, Akanshi Gupta of Dream Land Public School Janipur, Mahin Sagotra of St Paul’s Convent High School Gangyal, Manik Verma of Shangrilla High School, Sarwal, Shivani Saini of Kestrel School Shibu Chack, Kritika Sharma of St Francis Hr Sec School Akhnoor, Samiksha Sharma of RSJN Hr Sec School Kathua, Ishneet Kour Ghai of Christ High School Poonch and Karmanya Gupta of National Acad High School Court Road secured second position by securing 98.40 percent.
