SRINAGAR, MAY 11: To ensure hassle-free payment system, the State Vigilance Commission (SVC) has asked the Government to replace the existing payment system at the treasuries with on-line payment.
The Commission has observed that most of the times there is delay in payments to the claimants because of the existing system. “Instances have also come to notice where the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have to intervene for clearing the emergent bills of their departments,” the Commission noted.
To streamline the process of payments, SVC has recommended to the Government to develop dedicated software for on-line transactions.
