SRINAGAR, MAY 11: Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment, Chaudhary Lal Singh on Wednesday said that synergy between administration and people could change the fate of the State as it will speed up the developmental projects.

Speaking to people at a public grievances redressal camp at Gupkar, Singh said that the positive synergy will also help in further reducing the gaps between people and administration.

The grievances redressal camp was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar and senior officers of Forest, SMC, SDA, LAWDA, Health, UEED and other departments.

The Minister said that active participation of people in day to day governance is pivotal for sustainable development and ensuring tangible results on ground.

Lal Singh said that People-Administration synergy was a precursor for development of the State on all fronts. He said that this would also help in effectively addressing any loopholes found in the system.

“We have some brilliant officers who in cooperation with general public can ensure fruits of equitable development reach every person in the state,” he said.

Lal Singh urged people to be proactive and professional on all fronts. “If the grievances are not addressed at official level, people can approach ministers for further action,” he said. “Similarly there is mechanism to deal with every issue. It is the people who have to take lead.”

People visiting the Darbar came up with their grievances pertaining to roads, transport, SMC, SDA, UEED, LAWDA among other departments. The Minister assured prompt action to redress every problem and gave on the spot directions to resolve them on priority basis.
