BUDGAM, MAY 11: To acquaint himself with the problems of general masses and redress their grievances on the spot, Minister for Industries and Commerce J&K, Mr. Chander Parkash Ganga, who is also the chairman of District Development Board Budgam, today convened a public grievances redressal camp at New Conference Hall. D.C Office Budgam. People in large numbers hailing from different areas of District Budgam participated in the camp and apprised the Minister of their problems and grievances. They urged upon the Minister to address their basic issues like upgradation of road network, drinking water, infrastructure, electricity, public convenience, parking facility, tourism, public distribution system, education health and other allied works on priority basis.
Welcoming the Minister, DDC Budgam, Mr. Mir Altaf Ahmad highlighted the achievements of District Administration in the previous Fiscal.
Addressing the camp, the Minister said that the present dispensation is committed towards equitable development of the state and to eradicate corruption from its roots. He urged the public to be forthcoming in their complaints vis- a- vis corruption.
The Minister said that camp of this kind is the best medium to take feedback from every nook and corner of the district and to have the grievances redressed appropriately. The Minister addressed many of the grievances put forth by the masses on the spot while the remaining ones he assured to resolve within a reasonable time frame.
The Minister assured to have such camps on monthly basis in future also. He said that this was a step in the direction of Community Participation so that the relevant issues articulated during the camp could be incorporated in the ensuing District Development Board meeting.
The camp was attended by legislatures Mr. Saif –u- din Bhat and Mr. Ramesh Arora besides senior citizens, Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir, S.S.P Budgam, ADC budgam and all other concerned district and secretarial officers.
