
JAMMU, MAY 08: JAMMU: Indian Government on Saturday awarded ‘Shaurya Chakra’ to two civilians of Jammu & Kashmir namely Bikramjeet and Rakesh Kumar Sharma from Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir along with 26 otherr.
They foiled terrorist attack by nabbing an armed Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Mohammad Naved alias Mohammad Usman at village Chirdi in Udhampur district last year, in recognition of their brave act
They all were honored by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Defence Investiture Ceremony-II, at Rashtrapati Bhawan, in New Delhi.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh has congratulated Bikramjeet and Rakesh Kumar, who were awarded Shaurya Chakra by President Pranab Mukherjee, during a defence investiture ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday.
