SRINAGAR, May 07: Three Hizbul Mujhahideen militants were killed on Saturday in a gunfight with security forces in Pulwama district in Kashmir.
As per reports, the gunfight erupted in Panzgam village of Awantipora around 2 am, after security forces cordoned off the area on receiving infomation about the presence of militants.
As the search began , militants opened fire and in the nearly four hours long gunfight, three militants were killed.
The slain militants were identified as Ishfaq Baba , Ishfaq Dar and Haseb Paul.
A civilian was injured in a grenade explosion at the encounter site but he is syable now.
