Cross Town News Exclusive; Centre likely to increase Retirement Age of IAS and IPS Officers to 62 years


NEW DELHI, Jan 16: Centre Government is  likely to increase Retirement Age of IAS , IPS & IFS  Officers to 62 years.

Sources privy to the move in Department of Personnel and Training while speaking to Editor Cross Town News, Rahil Gupta,  told  on condition of anonymity the Retirement age for  All India Service officers (IAS, IPS and IFS) likely to be increased by two years to 62-years

Sourecs also told Cross Town News that  Employees holding Group –‘A’ posts are only about 3 % and  will not affect g the financial heath of the government as it will also take on account tghe Pension amounts involved.

Sources while speaking to Editor Rahil Gupta further said  that the Finance Ministry is likely to give approval to the move withing days and announcement for increment in  age is likely to be made  on 25th January or 2nd February.
