JAMMU, MARCH 22 - In a bid organized at RTO office, Jammu for auction of 12 of vanity numbers, an amount of Rs 4.70 lakhs was realized as revenue from the auction of these numbers. The highest bid amount was received through the auction of Vanity Number JK02BP-0786 and JK02BP-0001 as Rs. 1.11 lakhs and Rs. 1 lakh respectively and was allotted to the highest bidder Sh. Chuni Lal Vaid R/o 96 A/D Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Sh. Harjot Singh S/o Rajinder Singh R/o H.No. 55 Sec 07, L.No. 2, Nanak Nagar Jammu. Similarly, the Vanity Numbers JK02BP-1111 was auctioned for Rs. 65,000/-, Jk02BP-0027 for Rs. 55,000, JK02BP-0011 for Rs. 46000 and miscellaneous amount of Rs. 1.03 Lakhs from the auction of other numbers.
The auction of Vanity Numbers is being organized by the Motor Vehicles Department at the beginning of every New Series of Registration Numbers and applications for auction of these vanity numbers was invited by RTO office through the medium of notice published in leading newspapers of Jammu and Kashmir.
