JAMMU, Feb 25: Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a public meeting at Azad Nagar, Upper Gadi-Garh and took stock of the problems faced by the people of the area.
Residents of the area apprised the Speaker with their developmental needs such as upgradation of the roads, proper drainage system and adequate power supply in the area.
Giving a patient hearing to the projected demands the Speaker assured the people that concerted efforts will be made to provide better amenities and mitigate their problems in time bound manner .He also sought active public cooperation for effective implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other developmental schemes.
Among others Director K B Group of Institution, R. S. Bedi, ex-corporator, Paramjeet Singh, Panch, Sarpanch and people of the area were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Kavinder Gupta visited village Darab where he inaugurated a lane and PHE water pipeline.
