Why not J&K officers not complying “Court orders” be made Deadwoods?

S. Sidartha Paramedical Training Institute, Sunjwan, Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 16: It is the need of the day to show the doors to officers, who do not comply court orders in letter and  spirit for early justice. DB had expressed its anguish &  directed 13 Administrative Secretary’s to file status or appear in person in the court to explain their contemptuous attitude towards the numerous directions issued from time to time in a PIL. This order has been passed in delay in 147 enquiry’s against the accused indulged in misconduct & corruption continued to remain in prime positions till date.

However, it is not the only first order passed by the Hon’ble High Court for personal appearance of the Administrative Secretary. There are hundreds of such kind of orders  have been passed by the HHC but officials  do not bother. It is the need of the day to teach a lesson to such kind of officers/officials for non compliance of HHC orders passed from time to time.

Chief Justice has planned for early disposal of cases which are pending from 5 to 15 years but how it is possible when the officers will not file objections within the prescribed time. It is well aware of the fact that even officials  do not  care even after last and final opportunity is  granted, counter closed Or personal appearance. Contempt petition 158 of 2015, in which Hon’ble Mr. Justice Tashi Rabstan passed order to file compliance report within two weeks on 09.05.2015 & thereafter causing personal appearance of Secretary, PSC on 06.07.2015, till date the said order is not implemented. How the justice can be imparted to the appellants.

Compulsory retirement of such kind of officers as dead wood by the Governor by getting a detailed case wise objection/compliance report from each & every department is the requirement of the day to bring the efficiency and transparency in the administration.
