Some Political movement on cards in J&K

(Tania Mahajan)

With Jammu & Kashmir seen Governor’s Rule for a month, the government formation talks in J&K may now see a pace. As per reports BJP has set a time limit for their alliance partner over government formation. BJP has reportedly asked PDP to form government before 23rd December.

As per reports BJP on Monday has  set a time limit for the PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on government formation in Jammu & Kashmir. Quoting BJP sources, National Channel  IBN Live said that BJP has asked the PDP that it should take the final call on government formation in J&K not beyond the Parliament's Budget Session.

The development comes in backdrop of  pressure from various segments over delay in government formation. Opposition National Conference and  Congress have launched a verbal attack on PDP-BJP for not clearing stand on government formation . They have continuously asked PDP-BJP to either form government or be brave enough to face fresh elections in the state.

For a brief period after late J&K CM Mufti Sayeed ‘s death, things looked ok and it was quite  certain that Mehbooba will take oath as CM of J&K after 7 days mourning is over.

But the silence of Mebooba later on demanded certain assurances from BJP and openly said many a times that new government in Jammu & Kashmir will only be formed once she receives all the assurances demanded.

BJP on the other hand continuously maintained that since late CM Mufti Sayeed was part of Agenda of Alliance and now it should be honored by PDP and both the parties should take it as sacred document.

With Amit Shah has now reportedly asked Ram Madhav to talk to Mehbooba on government formation in J&K, in next few days things will be cleared .
