JAMMU, Feb 10: Lot of sufferers have informed that there is no system of fee charges of dentists, doctors , nursing homes in J&K. One informed that one dentist in Trikua Nagar charged Rs. 800 from his wife &Rs 2000 from him for the same treatment because of no display of rate list in his clinic.
It is not only the one example one hospital in Channi- Trikuta Nagar area is charging of own choice because of no display of rate list of treatments/operations. Room charge is Rs.2500/day, Theater Charge is Rs.5000 with other additional charges needed to be enquired.
Health department one time passed an order of rates for different kind of treatments but private hospital owner got it stayed & enjoying own rates till date.
One Retired Skin doctor in Trikuta Naga area is charging Rs.400 as consultation fees & one Homeopathy doctor is charging Rs. 200 on own choice as there is no check by the Health Dept.
Recently Health Dept. has unearthed a nexus of doctors & Pvt. Labs, which was appreciated. Shall Governor look into it this and give relief to needy ones from the cruel clutches of such kind of health traders by fixing rates of every treatment and private practitioners?
