SRINAGAR, Feb 04: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone held a meeting today to review progress of work on under construction Government Psychiatric Hospital at Badamwari Srinagar.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Hamidullah Mir and officers of JKPCC, which is the executing agency of the project.
Deputy Commissioner asked JKPCC officials to expedite the work on the project so that it is completed at the earliest. JKPCC officials informed the DC that the Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (psychiatric hospital) is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 15.71 crore.
It was given out that so far Rs. 7 crore have been released for the construction of the hospital out of which, work worth Rs 5 crore has been done by JKPCC.
Dr. Lone asked the officers to expedite work on the project. He also directed officials of revenue department to complete the paper work and directed ACR to personally look into the matter so that project is completed at the earliest.
