SRINAGAR, Feb 03: According to a notification of the Controller, Drugs and Food Control Organization J&K all Food Business Operators (FBOs) have been asked to apply for renewal of their License/Registration by or before their due date.
This exercise is necessitated in view of the commitment of the State Government with the FSSAI to introduce FLRS [Food Licensing and Registration System) in the State.The intending / existing Food Business operators can exercise an opportunity to upload their application for renewal/grant of licenses/registration through online system.
The State Government is contemplating to adopt the above system in the 2nd week of March, 2016. No application for grant/renewal of license/registration shall be entertained by the empowered authorities after the cut-off date i.e March, 01 20l6.
All such Food Business Operators who fail to avail the said opportunity shall forfeit their claim to exist as a licensed/registered Food Business Operator.The empowered authorities (Designated Officers/Food Safety Officers) have been directed to ensure strict enforcement in this regard.
