Nobody can lodge FIR against Army forces, J&K Govt top respond only after Centre Govt: BJP MLC Ramesh Arora

SRINAGAR, FEB 19 : Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ramesh Arora today said while commenting on civilian killings in valley today said that nobody can lodge FIR against forces.

 

He told PTK that he cannot condemn killing of a mentally challenged person in Budgam until proper information related to the incident is received. Arora said that everyone have right to protect themselves adding that no FIR can be lodged against forces. 

 

 

He added that Supreme Court already puts stay over the FIR which was registered against Army in Shopian Killing.  He added that if forces are involved in this incident state govt will submit its report to central govt for action.

 

He said that state govt can’t take action until central govt will respond. He further added that the area is under the stringent Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFPSA, so forces have right to protect themselves first. Adding that the forces are doing their duty, and central govt will decide. (PTK)
