Kohli inaugurates Niabat in Kallar, Kalakote; Says new Niabat will serve as one-point facilitator for people’s revenue related concerns

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 19: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today said that the new Niabat office at Chingus, Kallar will serve as a one-point contact for the people to approach administration and get their concerns addressed.

The Minister said this while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Naibat office in Chingus, Kallar in Kalakote; the building for which was constructed at a cost of Rs 58.20 lakh.

Reiterating government’s commitment in ensuring good governance and ease of access to the people, the Minister said that this office will provide people with a physical space to approach administration for their various issues. He said that this fulfills a long pending demand of the people and they will now be able to get their revenue related issues addressed at their door steps.

He asked the officers to deploy required manpower at this Revenue Office so that succor is provided to the public and also asked them to deliver the services with prompt, utmost dedication and honestly.

He also laid foundation stone of a Park for Kalakote to be set up near Dak Bungalow. The park to be developed by Municipal Committee Kalakote, will be first of its kind in the area and will be developed on modern lines.

Referring to the developmental works under execution in the Kalakote Constituency, the Minister said that construction work on several micro and macro developmental projects are apace in the Constituency and completion of these works will transform the socio-economic conditions of the area. He said that centre government is providing liberal funding to the J&K and identification process is underway to find uncovered areas for necessary developmental activities related action.

Kohli further said that directions have been given to administration to conduct exhaustive survey of the area especially far-flung hamlets and prepare Detailed Project Reports to be furnished to concerned quarter for early action.

Responding to the chatter of demands put forth by the locals, the Minister said that their genuine issues will be addressed in a phased manner. In some cases, Kohli gave on spot directions to the concerned for immediate redressal.
