DDC, Udhampur reviews performance of banks

 UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 14: - To review the performance of all banks in key area of deposits and advance for quarter ending December 2017, under Annual    Credit Plan 2017-18, the District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of bankers and district officers of various Departments was held under the Chairmanship of   District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ravinder Kumar here today.

           LDM B. S Negi briefed the meeting  about various  banks and their  performance achieved   quarter ending December  2017, under Annual credit Plan 2017-18, in various sectors which mainly include Bankwise/Sectorwise achievements in lending to priority/ Non priority sector, Flow of credit to priority sector and weaker sections  of  society, Bank wise position of Deposits/Advances in Udhampur district, Government sponsored schemes achievement of all banks, Issuance of KCCs ,Status of Aadhar seeding, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Launching of PLP 2018-19 by NABARD, Approval of DCP/ACP2018-19 of district Udhampur, Implementation of PMAY in the district, financial  literacy programme conducted by the rural branches of the bank, providing skills and capacity building training programme under R-SETI, flow of credit to priority sector under ACP, issuance of KCC (bank wise), assistance under government sponsored schemes etc.

          During the meeting, the DDC exhorted upon the bankers to organize awareness camps especially in rural areas of the district so that rural masses may get aware about their financial inclusion and social security schemes.

          The DDC underlined the need of sanctioning eligible cases to reduce the difficulties of beneficiaries. He exhorted upon the officers of Banks and Line Departments to fix targets according to the need and prospective of the area concerned so that no hindrance comes in the way to achieve optimum results on ground in a stipulated time frame.  He stressed for better coordination for achieving the fixed targets. He issued instructions for spreading awareness about the training programme of R-SETI among the unemployed youths of the district during their camps in the villages.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Angrez Singh, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Ashok Khajuria, CHO, Brij Vallabh Gupta, District Officer KVIB, Tilak Raj, DSHO, Sanjeev Kumar, CAO, Sunil Gandotra, AD Planning, Darshan Kumar AGM RBI, Satish Sharma, LDM SBI, V.S Negi, AGM NABARD, Manohar Lal, Cluster Head J&K Bank Udhampur Satish Kumar and other officers of various departments besides bankers.
