Panthers Party gheraos Dy CM’s residence, protests Pro Pak slogans in Assembly, deteriorating security scenario in J&K

Jammu:  Outraged by the Pak sponsored ‘Fidayeen attack’ on Army camp in Sunjuwan in Jammu recently which left 5 soldiers martyred, one civilian killed and 11 others injured besides the seditious echo of Pro-Pak slogans inside the J&K Legislature, a contingent of Panther activists led by Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister and other leaders gheraoed the residence of Dy CM Nirmal Singh in Jammu today. Staging a vociferous protest, amidst clashes with the police the angry activists held the sinister coalition responsible for the deteriorating situation in the State and sought the resignation of the Dy CM as well as the BJP MLAs for maintaining the stoic silence while the anti-national slogans were raised on the floor of the house.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that the frequent terror attacks on the camps of the security personnel had rocked the entire State and shaken the belief of the civilians on the present regime as far as the credibility, efficiency and the intentions of the incumbent government were concerned. Paying homage to the martyred brave hearts of 36 Brigade Sunjuwan besides conveying sympathies to the bereaved families, he said that the Indian Army had once again proved its mettle by foiling the terror attack and eliminating the JeM militants to avert the possibility of a heavy casualty. Recalling similar ‘Fidayeen attacks’ at CRPF Training Camp at Pulwama in January this year preceded by District Police Lines Pulwama in August last year, Army camp at Nagrota in Nov. 2016, Army Brigade HQ at Uri in Sept. 2016 and  IAF Station at Pathankot in Jan. 2016, he said several defence personnel were martyred and many were critically injured in the series of attacks but the BJP partnered govt. had not learnt its lessons well from its past mistakes and grossly failed to plug the holes in the security lapses which had been a root cause of such fatal attacks. He further accused the Saffron party of colluding with Kashmir centric ally in appeasing the anti-national elements which had led to civil unrest, clashes, shut downs, public attacks on police stations, lynching and killing of police personnel, assault on security forces, death and destruction. “Revocation of FIRs from 9730 stone pelters in Kashmir, rehabilitation policy for the surrendered militants, slapping of  FIRs on the Army in Kashmir, all had emboldened the radical outfits to go berserk and unleash fidayeens on Army camps to cause mayhem”, Harsh rued.

Describing the ugly episode of Pro-Pak slogans raised inside the legislature by NC MLA, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Singh said that BJP MLAs had hurt the nationalist sentiment and Dogra pride once again by maintaining stoic silence while such treacherous slogans were raised on the floor of the house. He wondered that instead of taking a strong action against the defiant legislator for his seditious conduct, the speaker despicably allowed the proceedings of the house to carry on. Castigating the BJP for its dual standards besides being a criminal partner with its ally in towing the separatist agenda, he said that the Saffron MLAs looked bare faced while the erring legislator was raising anti-national slogans to fan communal passions. He said that BJP which could swallow anything for the greed of power had been exposed for entering into worse ever political debauchery with the Kashmir centric leaders. Mr. Singh regretted that it was shocking and painful that Pro-Pak slogans were raised from the ‘temple of democracy’ at the time when the operation by the Army at Sunjawan base camp was still underway. Terming the incident as an insult to national honour, Mr. Singh said that such a obnoxious act had further emboldened and fuelled the anti national forces operating in the state. He said that the incident which had never happened before, and that too in the Saffron flavoured government was certainly a morale booster for the subversive elements adding further that it had lost the moral authority to represent Jammu.

Lambasting the BJP as a clan of traitors, Mr. Harsh Dev lampooned that the MLA openly enjoyed the freedom to raise Pro Pak slogans inside the Assembly in the presence of the so called “messiah of nationalism” who trumpeted the choicest of chauvinistic slogans to captivate and mesmerize the people. He said that it was shameful moment for all the 130 crore Indians when the FIRs were registered against the revered Army in Kashmir to appease the separatists. He said that all these Saffron surrenders before the Kashmir centric leaders had exposed the BJP for its imbecility, cowardice and skulduggery. He said that the BJP had written its obituary and the Panthers Party would hammer the last nail in its coffin to liberate the betrayed nationalists from further mourning.
