Education for martyr’s wards focussed by Police Parivar: DGP

 

JAMMU, Jan 23: Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar has said that Police Parivar is focussed to promote quality education among the wards of police martyrs, whose sacrifices in bringing peace and stability in the State is of great importance and it is our responsibility to take care of their wards.

 

Mr. Rajendra was speaking, while sanctioning scholarships of more than Rs 3 lac for 43 wards of 27 martyrs, who have contributed towards the security and integrity of the Nation by sacrificing their precious lives. He said that the martyrs have played a vital role at different fronts of policing and it was due to their supreme sacrifices that we have succeeded in bringing normalcy in the State. It is prime duty of Jammu and Kashmir Police Parivar to take care of these wards and lead them towards a prosperous life, said  Mr. Rajendra.

 

DGP disclosed that the Organisation, realizing its responsibility, has established Central Police Welfare Fund with a missionary aim to provide succour to these wards to continue their studies. He said that the scholarships have been sanctioned in favour of the wards, studying in different classes of various technical and educational institutions. The scholarships have been sanctioned for the academic year 2014-2015, DGP added.

         

The beneficiaries  include Rohit Singh Bhau, Mohit Singh Bhau, Shakti Pandita, Ashwani Pandita, Mohit Choudhary, Harsh Vardan, Sameer Younis, Danish Younis, Touseef Mohammad, Sabiya Mohammad, Rajpreet Singh, Avneet Singh, Simira Jan, Ruqiya Bano, Owaiza Bano, Razia Ali, Ruhe Ali, Afshana Ali, Janat-ul-Fiza, Afrana Shafi, Aizana Mohammad, Mursil Altaf, Owais Nabi, Mosina Akhter, Chesfeeda Gull, Arjimand Gull, Kanav Singh, Humeera Tahir, Paramveer Singh, Priyanka Bandral, Kamaldeep Singh, Raisabba Farooq, Nadish Farooq, Zahida Qayoom, Jagmeet Kumar, Arunjeet Singh, Shabnum Shakeel, Sameer Nazir, Mehnaza Majeed, Musharaf Majeed, Junaid Majeed, Asif Majid and Sumaira Majid.
