Secretary CA&PD reviews status of implementation of NFSA in J&K

JAMMU, Jan 18:Nineteen districts of the state have been able to make NFSA data compatible for ensuring the proper implementation of the act in the state.The information was given during a review meeting convened by Secretary CA&PD Mr. Saurabh Bhagat on the directions of the Chief Secretary, Mr. B R Sharma  to discuss the modalities for implementation of the Act  in the state .

 

The meeting was attended through videoconferencing by all the Deputy Commissioner’s, Directors CA&PD Jammu, Kashmir besides the senior officers of the CA&PD department and National Informatics Centre (NIC).

 

The meeting was told that the aadhaar seeding has been completed upto 56% from the existing 3% and considerable progress has been made for data basing the categories to be covered under the Act. It was also given out that the process would be completed very soon so that the Act would be implemented in the state in a stipulated time frame.

 

The Secretary directed all the Deputy Commissioners to complete the left over data updation  about the prospective beneficiaries under the Act by 25th of this month by coordinating their efforts with all the departments and NIC. He also directed them to give certificates including the number of all deserving beneficiaries/ souls as per the inclusion criteria which have been uploaded on the national portal, the beneficiaries already uploaded on the portal who have been issued ration cards under NFSA category wise and the certificate regarding fidelity of the information done by the concerned Deputy Commissioner.

 

The Secretary also reviewed the status/ position with regard to issuance of forms for AAY, Priority households, Non- priority and exclusion category besides the number of the declaration forms received under these categories. The status of position of scrutiny/ segregation and fidelity check of forms, number of complaints received, disposed and number of data digitized with Aadhaar seedings were also discussed.  

 

 While asking the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that necessary care should be taken to upload the database of  genuine beneficiaries, the Secretary asked them to make the people aware about the benefits of the Act through IEC campaigns, awareness programs and seminars.
