JAMMU, Jan 12 :Director General, Youth Services & Sports, Jahangir Mir today reviewed the preparation of schools for Republic Day celebrations with the concerned officers here.Before the formal commencement of meeting a two minute silence was observed to mourn the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, former Chief Minister.
Various matters pertaining to school contingents taking part in the Republic Day celebrations were discussed.More than 2500 students from various Government and Private educational institutions of Jammu division shall be taking part in 8 colorful cultural items and more than 5000 school children are expected to witness the proceedings of the Republic Day-2016 celebrations at M A Stadium Jammu.
DG urged the concerned officers to ensure complete cooperation to make the Republic Day celebrations a grand success.Addl. Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Joint Director Information, Principal, GGM Science College, Joint Director School Education, Jammu, Joint Director (Jammu) YS&S, CEO Jammu besides Dy. Director (Central), Youth Services & Sports were present in the meeting.
