Jammu, Dec 22: Police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse hundreds of agitating MGNREGA workers.
MGNREGA workers marched towards the civil secretariat where the district administration has already imposed section 144 of CrPC as preventive measure.
Police stopped the processionists at Indira Chowk but they forcefully tried to proceed following which police resorted to mild lathicharge.
The MGNREGA workers are demanding regularisation and clearance of pending dues.
