JAMMU, Dec 31: It is a matter of great concern to be looked into by the Chief Minister/Labour Minister/Commissioner Labour J&K to save the innocents from the cruel clutches of some of the owners of concerns at Jammu, who are utilizing the services of their employees more than the hour timings fixed by the Govt. under labour laws& give them new yeaybananza.
One Social worker on behalf of the sufferer requested the Chief Minister, LabourMinister, Chief Secretary, Commissioner, Labour for the same. The said representation was further forwarded to Labour Commissioner, J&K vide No. MS/298/2015 dated 10.12.2015 regarding the subject, followed by other recommendation.
Labour Commissioner was kind enough to write to Deputy Labour Commissioner, Jammu with copy to the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Jammu with the comments to take necessary actions within 03 days positively under an intimation to this office vide No. LC/Enf/1015/734-35 dated 15.12.2015. Three days exhausts on 18th December but the applicant informed the CTN that the instructions issued by Labour Commissioner were not followed by her sub ordinates meant for the purpose till date speaks about the vested considerations of the concerned officers on behest of innocents.
The applicant informed the CTN that he had personally checked the concerns and found that timing of 8 hours permitted under labour laws are not followed by some of concerned culprits & even some owners are opening showrooms on Sundays as represented in the application &innocent employees are pressurized to work causing mental harassment on innocents for their earnings for their livelihood. Holidays declared for them are not granted to them in violation of labour laws. .
Who is responsible for it & who will check it? Shall someone concerned act to save innocents?
