School Sealed, Owner Arrested for Cheating Students

Srinagar, November 02: Police had sealed an Educational Institute and arrested its operators after reportedly it failed to provide roll number slips to Class 10th students who were scheduled to appear in examination conducted by Board of School Education on Thursday.

Reports said that at least 60 students from Noorani Secondary Educational Institute Sumbal in Bandipora district arrived at the school to appear in Class 10th examination on Thursday. The exam was scheduled to be conducted at 1pm, however, school management failed to provide them roll number slips.

The agitated students and parents staged a massive protest after they found the owner and the staff of the school missing. 

Police arrested the Chairman and his wife while the Principal is absconding. A case has been registered against them for cheating the students.
