Football stadias in both North and South Kashmir have been upgraded: Ansari

          SRINAGAR, Dec 20: Minister of Sports and Youth Services Imran Raza Ansari today said that the government is initiating a number of innovative steps to promote sports in the state with emphasis on upgradation of existing infrastructure.The Minister said this after  inaugurating the I-League second division home tie at the synthetic Astro Turf, TRC ground. The match was played between Lone Star Kashmir Football Club and Minnerva Punjab.  


The Minister said that football is most popular game in the valley and every effort is being done to encourage it at all levels. He said that stadias in both North and South Kashmir have been upgraded.It is for the first time that I-League match is held in the State.


The Minister said that government is working on streamlining every sports activity in the state so that raw talent gets identified and trained professionally.
