SRINAGAR, Sep 25 : Jammu & Kashmir Baseball Association achieved new heights got selection by it's senior player namely Shahnawaz Hussain Mir of district Budgam and General Secretary , J&K Baseball Association Fida Hussain Fidvi appointed as manager of Indian squad / team for the upcoming International Baseball Championship, 2017 scheduled to be held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before leaving to Malaysia on 8th of October, 2017 the final camp is scheduled to be held at Khalsa PG college ground at Shri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan from 28th of September, 2017 organised by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India. The said tournament is scheduled to be held from 10th October to 15th October, 2017 organised by the Malaysia Baseball Federation (MBF) under the auspices of Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA). Shahnawaz Mir represented the state number of times in Senior National Baseball Championships at different states of the country.
Meanwhile the Secretary , J&K State Sports Council Mr Waheed Ur Rahman Para appreciated the Association for great efforts of promoting the game in the state of J&K and selected player / official who birth's in Indian squad / team and hope they will bring laurels for the country.
Nazir Ahmad Joint Secretary, J&K SSC, today send of Shahnawaz and Fidvi for the said India camp and participation to Malaysia at Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar. Besides members of Sports Council Prof. BA Shah, Rouf Ahmad Tramboo and Ms Nuzhat Ara, SOK, Sheikh Tulal, Manager SKISC and Mohammed Yousuf, General Secretary , J&K Winter Games Association where present.
President, JKBA, Mr MM Gazanfar congratulated the Association for selection of it's senior player in Indian Baseball contingent for prestigious International tournament at Malaysia.
