JAMMU, Aug 29: In a simple yet impressive function organised by J&K state sports council at KK HakkuStadium Jammu, National Sports Day was celebrated.
This day marks the birthday of major Dyan chand the Hockey player who won gold medals in 1928, 1932,1936 in Olympic games.
On this occasion the statue of this Hockey wizard was garlanded by Joint Secratery, J&K state sports council Jammu, Shiv Kumar sharma and Varinder Sharma ,STC Incharge.
Joint Secratery highlighted the importance of this day and the contribution of Major Dyan Chand for our country.
He also suggested the youngster to follow his path and contribute their best for country.
