SRINAGAR, Nov 2: Senior Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader and former Member of the Legislative Council Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, father of Lal Chowk MLA Ahsan Pardesi, passed away on Tuesday evening.
Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi Pardesi was a veteran functionary of the National Conference and had also served as Joint Financial Commissioner before his retirement.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed heartfelt condolences to MLA Lal Chowk Sheikh Ahsan Ahmed Pardesi on the demise of his father, Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, a respected former Member of the Legislative Council and senior leader.
The Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, remembering his contributions as a former legislator and his distinguished service as a bureaucrat.
The Chief Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and the highest place in Jannat, while seeking strength and patience for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
