Jammu, Oct 23:CAT asks J&K Govt to clarify as to why lookafter charge as AE (Civil) given to 37 Degree Holder JE but not to JE (Diploma Holders)
As per details with Cross Town News, In O.A./860/2026 titled DEERAJ VERMA Vs PUBLIC WORK DEPARTMENT R AND B after hearing CAT ordered as under:-
"The short affidavit filed by the learned D.A.G. is almost repetition of the reply earlier filed by the respondents, without specifying the vacancy position for the post of AE (Diploma Holders).
It is further submitted by the learned D.A.G. that applicants will be considered shortly for their promotion, however, no timeline has been specified by him for such promotion.
At the request of learned D.A.G, further two weeks' time is granted to file supplementary affidavit with regard to vacancy position of the AE (Diploma Holders) in the department till date. Learned D.A.G. is also directed to clarify in the affidavit as to why the lookafter charge for the post of AE (Civil) has been given to 37 Degree Holder Junior Engineers (Civil), but not to the JE (Diploma Holders). List on 17.11.2026. Let a copy of this order be forwarded to learned D.A.G.
