Hyderabad, Oct 22: Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice P Sam Koshy and Justice Narsing Rao Nandikonda has upheld a single judge’s order reinstating a 2018 batch Sub-Inspector, ruling that the police department failed to establish any misconduct or unsatisfactory performance that warranted his removal from service.
Bench dismissed an appeal filed by the police department against the April 2026 order that set aside the termination of SI Konda Janaiah and declared him an approved probationer. Janaiah was terminated from service while serving as an SI at Jubilee Hills.
The bench observed that the department had failed to place any material on record to show that Janaiah had acted in a manner unbecoming of a govt employee during the discharge of his official duties.
