Srinagar, Oct 14: The J&K government placed Parvaz Abdullah, General Manager (Purchases and Stores) of the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation under suspension pending an inquiry into alleged lapses in the maintenance of tendering and procurement records related to Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
The order, issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, R Alice Vaz, stated that the charge of Purchases and Stores had already been withdrawn from Abdullah through a separate order dated October 8, 2026, in view of the lapses observed in the maintenance of tendering and procurement records relating to DEF.
