Hyderabad, Oct 08: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Swarna Kumari, the District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO) of Ranga Reddy District, Health Inspector M. Srinivas, and a private driver, Maddurikrishnaiah, for taking a bribe of Rs 1,00,000 out of a Rs 2,00,000 demand.
They took this money from a complainant in exchange for returning the keys of a seized physiotherapy center, promising not to take more action against the center for operating without a DM&HO license, and for issuing a new license.
The ACB recovered the bribe from the driver. All three have been taken to court for judicial remand.
