Jammu, Oct 6: The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Jammu and Kashmir today announced the new unit of GGM Science College, Jammu, for the academic session 2026–27.
The team was announced by NSUI J&K State President Ajay Lakhotra, who congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and expressed confidence in the new team.
The newly constituted team comprises Murtaz Mushtaq as President, Adil Choudhary as Working President, Tanshu Bhagat and Harry Labana as Senior Vice Presidents, and Abhishek Kumar, Batham Gupta, Gur Ashish Singh and Hardeep Singh as Vice Presidents. Maninder has been appointed Secretary, while Arshit Choudhary and Rahook Choudhary have been appointed Joint Secretaries. Majid Malik has also been appointed as President of Cluster University, and NSUI J&K State President Ajay Lakhotra congratulated him on his appointment and wished him a successful tenure.
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Lakhotra said that the new generation of students, particularly Gen-Z, is increasingly associating itself with the vision of Rahul Gandhi and the progressive ideology of the Indian National Congress. He said NSUI would continue to provide students with a platform to raise their concerns and participate actively in democratic and social activities. Lakhotra urged the newly appointed office bearers to remain connected with students, understand their concerns and work towards addressing their issues through democratic means. He called upon the team to strengthen NSUI at the grassroots level and ensure that students’ voices remain at the centre of the organisation’s activities.
NSUI J&K State President congratulated all the newly appointed office bearers and wished them success in their respective responsibilities. District Congress Secretary Jaidev Charak, Ali Choudhary, Sajid, Adnan and other NSUI and Congress activists were also present and accompanied Ajay Lakhotra during the announcement.
