Srinagar, Sept 15: The Government has issued eviction notices against several commercial properties occupying Nazool land, a government property allotted on lease, in Srinagar city.
The eviction notices are issued to occupants who have failed to produce valid leases or orders renewing their leases.
The eviction order has been issued under Section 5(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1988.
It is to mention here that there are countless Aquaf Lands, whereon Commercial constructions have been raised both in Jammu and Srinagar , where only selective actions have be taken.
