Srinagar, Sept 5: The High Court allowed Anti-Corruption Bureau to proceed ahead with the investigation of FIR with regard to the raising of huge construction on the banks of river Jhelum near Abdullah Bride at Rajbagh area of Srinagar.
Justice Sanjay Dhar provided in the order that the Investigation Agency is at liberty to proceed ahead with the investigation of the case.
The court having regard to the fact that the petitioners are not the custodian of the record that would be needed by the Investigating Agency during the course of investigation as such, their custodial interrogation may not be necessary in connection with investigation of the case.
Court had noticed that despite the concern in the matter, a huge multi storied construction is going on with impunity on the site which is surrounded by main roads leading from Abdullah Bridge towards Convent School on two sides.
