Shimla, Aug 30: The Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, today administered the oath of office and secrecy to Shri Chirag Bhanu Singh as Judge and Shri Bhupesh Sharma and Shri Yogesh Jaswal as Additional Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court at a dignified ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.
Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, was also present on the occasion. Chief Secretary Shri K.K. Pant conducted the proceedings of the oath-taking ceremony and read out the warrants of appointment issued by the President of India, appointing Shri Chirag Bhanu Singh as Judge and Shri Bhupesh Sharma and Shri Yogesh Jaswal as Additional Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
The ceremony was attended by Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Shri Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Leader of Opposition Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Sandeep Bhardwaj, Secretary To Hon'ble Governor, senior judicial, civil and police officers, and other distinguished guests. The swearing-in ceremony marked an important constitutional occasion and added to the strength of the judicial institution in the State.
